Coming back from Beijing and our adventure on the Great Wall, Rosa and I had organised our flights so that we would have a stopover in Paris. The longest and most cost effective stopover available gave us a 16 hour window to explore the city.

Touching down in Charles de Gaul Airport at 13:00 pm local time. Here's a few pic's along with a few lines in relation to how we spent our time in Paris.

  • Visit to Notre Dame Cathedral

  • We then strolled along the River Seine looking at the book stalls and old magazines.

  • Lunch in a Cafe.

  • We then walked off lunch around the Louvre on Rue di Rivoli.

  • Continued through the Carrousel Arc de Triomphe

  • Then proceeded through Tuileries Garden.

  • Walked along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées

  • Stopped to admire the Champs-Élysées Arc de Triomphe.

  • Visited a book shop. Rosa's weakness as she cannot seem to walk past one without going in.

  • Effel Tower

  • Chilled out below the Eiffel Tower in Park Camp de Mars.

  • Took the Metro to Montmarte and checked into our hotel.

  • Went for dinner on the street in Place du Tertre. I was smitten with myself as I ate veal and drank Red wine from the Bordeaux region, we went all fancy.

  • Back to the hotel and lights out.

  • Up early - to take in the view of Sacre Coeur

  • Metro back to Charles de Gaul Airport.

Time flies when you are having fun.
